Campsite Terms & Conditions
The Dumble Farm campsite is over 18’s only and strictly no dogs allowed.
Campsite health and safety
–Highland cow interaction. Dumble Farm campsite guests are permitted to visit the young Highlands when they are housed in the shed. Please do not make any loud noises or fast movements when meeting the animals. Dumble Farm and its employees are not liable for any injury or accidents due to unpredictable animal behaviour or movement. Interacting with the cows involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of injury from the cows movements, behaviour, and natural environment. By engaging in this activity, you assume all risks associated with interacting with the cows.
– Hand washing – It is VERY important. When visiting farms there is a small risk of catching infection from animal contact or the environment. This can be more serious in elderly or pregnant people. Washing hands thoroughly with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, will reduce the risk of infection. Do not touch your face, or eat, drink or smoke after being in an animal contact area unless you have washed hands. The farmers will tell you where the hand washing stations are and there are also signs.
– Guests should dress appropriately. Take care to bring appropriate clothing for the weather, we recommend boots or wellies in winter months, the footpaths can get muddy. The walks can be quite exposed; so plenty of warm layers in cold weather is recommended.
– Pregnant women. Public health England states that pregnant women need to take particular care as infections acquired from animals can be harmful to them and their unborn baby. Always wash hands thoroughly after interacting with the cows (we have plenty of hand-washing facilities).
-Uneven surfaces. Take care when walking around the campsite as paths can be uneven. Rabbits dig unpredictable holes in the grass, please be aware of this as you walk across grassy areas, so as not to trip or fall.
-Machinery. Dumble Farm is a working farm, so we ask guests to be aware of tractors etc that may be moving around the farmyard.
Please do not feed any of the animals around the site.
